Gleeds opens 2 new offices as part of expansion plans in the USA

Gleeds has opened 2 new offices in the USA as part of a global expansion plan. Gleeds now has bases in San Francisco and Chicago, in addition to its existing offices in Atlanta, Georgia and New York.

The country’s strong recovery from the global recession and diverse industry portfolio has provided the consultancy with the opportunity to expand into new sectors, whilst strengthening its core area of expertise.

Richard Steer, Chairman of Gleeds Worldwide, said: “This is a really exciting time for us. As the US and UK economies strengthen, so too does our appetite for growth. The industrial and energy sectors have presented us with a number of fantastic opportunities in recent months, so we’ll be looking to build on that success and assess further opportunities for expansion.”

The San Francisco office has already been awarded a project management role with a chip developer in Silicon Valley, while the office in Chicago is servicing a major infrastructure project in the state of Illinois.

Chris Soffe, President and CEO of Gleeds Americas, added; "San Francisco has long been known as an international hub for forward-thinking industries so we are excited to have a presence in the heart of the Bay Area, with California being the 8th largest economy in the world. This, coupled with the recent opening of our Chicago office, will considerably strengthen our long established US operations in Atlanta and New York and allow us to extend our reach to offer a national footprint across the United States.

Executive Vice Presidents Stuart Lumsden and Chris Williams are leading the teams in San Francisco and Chicago respectively.
