While contractual disputes are likely to rise and the resolution could be an elongated process, other key areas of focus for the investors / owners / clients would be: 

• Revised project schedule and the completion date
• Implementation of safety protocols at site to mitigate risk of Covid-19 infection in their project sites
• Claims management and cost optimization through procurement

To help Clients with the above, Gleeds has now developed bespoke services and has already commenced work with organizations. The services include:

1. Project Program

• Working with the contractor / PMC / Client to establish a revised project program considering the restriction sites are likely to face, supply chain associated issues, and remobilization timeline
• Periodic program audit and provide advisory to Client on project progress and recovery measures required
• Program / Schedule optimization – Advice on durations considered, options / value add to reduce timeline, identifying critical activities and realigning linkages to facilitate simultaneous work front and optimize base timelines. 
• Resource mapping, productivity insight and delay analysis. – Realtime facts analysis to identify and map labour / resource availability and provide advice based on mathematical models of actual scenarios (Including productivity analysis for all elements or items, labour / resources required, and estimated delays based on different variations)

2. Health and Safety – Covid-19 protocols

• Set up Standard Operating Procedures for post Covid–19 operations at site, 
• One-time verification of implementation of protocols
• Periodic audit of maintenance of Covid–19 protocols at site and make recommendation 

3. Claims support

• Independent review of the contract documentation and provide advice on claim
• Verification of claims from the contractors and advice on validity and quantum

4.  Procurement Support

Procurement of material and works packages from our wider data base as the Covid- 19 situation could result in cost savings by approaching a wider supply chain.
