Maximising efficiency on construction projects has never been higher up the agenda, and our survey of the UK contractor market in Autumn 2020 found that 65% of respondents would seek to incorporate Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) in their projects as a result of the pandemic. In an uncertain climate, MMC helps improve programme certainty and quality. Adoption of  MMC can also mitigate unanticipated changes on-site, such as the current risks of labour shortages, helping reduce disruption to live projects.

From providing pharmaceuticals companies quicker access to clean room facilities, to mitigating the impacts of extreme weather conditions on construction sites around the world, to opening a hospital ahead of programme to meet the demands of the COVID-19 pandemic, in this short film we evidence the time savings achieved across multiple built environment sectors and geographies, through the use of MMC techniques.
