Cosmopolitan Twarda 2/4, Warsaw

We helped one of Poland’s tallest buildings reach new heights of luxury.

Gleeds provided a broad range of consultancy services to help realise Helmut Jahn’s towering vision for a landmark building in Warsaw – the Cosmopolitan.

Boasting innovative technology and Europe’s finest materials, the Chicago-based architect’s award-winning design sets new luxury-living and A-class office standards.

The very highest specifications

The Cosmopolitan is 160m and 44-storeys high. Each of the 236 apartments feature 3m floor-to-ceiling opening windows, providing panoramic views of the Polish capital. They also offer intelligent home-management systems (HMS), enabling residents to control environmental factors such as lighting, temperature from keypads and mobile devices. In keeping with its ‘Cosmopolitan’ name, the apartments are furnished with:

  • Italian marble tiles
  • Austrian roller blinds
  • Swiss shower cabins
  • German kitchens
  • Swedish wooden floors

Keeping on top of everything

Gleeds stepped in to replace the earlier consultant. Under our watchful eye, the finished result meant minimal snags and we completed the landmark skyscraper on time. No small feat in such a tall, high-spec build.

New heights and new approaches

The high standard of living offered by Cosmopolitan inspired us to try different ways of working. These included:

  • Using innovative technology-based ordering and reporting techniques
  • Applying a fresh approach to distributing documentation
