Gleeds has today announced the appointment of two new leaders to its UK project management team following a sustained surge in demand for its expertise. David Corbin will assume the role of National Head of Project & Programme Management, with Kara Thompson responsible for London area Project Management.

David’s career in the industry spans over twenty years, with experience across a number of sectors including social infrastructure, security, justice and defence. Prior to joining Gleeds, he was a director at WYG serving as Head of Project Management. High-profile projects he has led include City of London Police Accommodation Programme, SPTA Service Families Accommodation Programme, and Ealing, Hammersmith & West London College Redevelopment. As Head of Project Management at Gleeds, David will be responsible for the continued growth of our project management, programme management, project controls and PMO capability, providing an exceptional service to meet our clients’ increasingly complex needs.

Kara joins Gleeds from property services provider, Savills, where she was Co-Head of West-End Project Management. During her 15-year career she has overseen multimillion-pound commercial development, business improvement, and M&A projects. Her new role will see her focus specifically on the development of Gleeds’ project & programme management team in the London-area.

Commenting on the new appointments, Jonathan Stewart, Managing Director UK, said: “I am delighted to welcome two such highly-experienced practitioners onto our UK project & programme management team. Their appointments leave Gleeds well placed to deliver on some of the UK’s most important construction projects and are testament to the recent success of the UK practice.”
